About Thrunton Long Crag Trout Fishery
Thrunton Long Crag is an established stillwater trout fishery at Whittingham near Alnwick. It provides stocked fly fishing in a quiet Northumberland setting and continues to publish regular fishing and stocking reports throughout the season. The fishery states that booking is essential rather than relying on unannounced arrival. It normally operates seven days a week from 8.30am and describes itself as open throughout the year, although daily closing times and private-event closures can vary. Anglers need the relevant Environment Agency rod licence and should confirm the current ticket, catch limit and permitted-method rules when booking.
