About Fontburn Reservoir

Fontburn is one of Waterside Parks' smaller reservoirs and is promoted as a family-oriented Northumberland fishery. The 2026 season information lists fly and any-method fishing for rainbow trout together with coarse fishing for roach. Anglers can fish from areas around the reservoir including the dam wall and accessible north and south shore sections, and an accessible fishing platform is provided on the north shore. An on-site shop sells tackle, bait and refreshments. For 2026 the published fishing period begins on 7 March, with daily fishing from 8am until 9pm or sunset, whichever comes first.
