About Tan-y-Mynydd Trout Fishery
Tan-y-Mynydd Trout Fishery at Moelfre near Abergele is a long-established five-pool venue, open throughout the year from dawn until dusk except Christmas Day. Top, Home and Farm are fly-fishing-only pools stocked with rainbow, brown, blue and tiger trout. Family and Deep pools allow multi-method fishing and are intended to make the venue accessible to beginners and younger anglers. Sporting catch-and-release and catch-and-take tickets are offered, with optional club membership and bulk-hour packages. Facilities include a tackle shop, equipment hire, accessible paths and platforms, a disabled toilet, parking and arranged tuition. Anglers must use single barbless or de-barbed hooks, and brown and tiger trout must be returned.
