About Rothiemurchus Fishing
Rothiemurchus provides several bookable fishing experiences close to Aviemore. Its fly-fishing loch holds rainbow, blue and brown trout and offers both catch-and-release and fish-taking options, while a separate bait-fishing activity is designed as an accessible introduction for families and beginners. Equipment and tuition options make the venue useful for visitors who are new to trout fishing as well as anglers bringing their own suitable tackle. Experienced pike anglers can also apply for a tightly limited permit on Loch an Eilein, where only a small number of permits are made available on specified days. These activities have different rules, equipment needs and booking arrangements, so select the correct session and check availability through the official Rothiemurchus fishing pages before travelling.
