About Loch Insch Fishery
Loch Insch Fishery and Touring Park is set within 30 acres of Aberdeenshire countryside at Culsalmond near Insch. The venue has two maintained fly-fishing lochs regularly stocked with rainbow and brown trout, plus a separate bait pond intended as a relaxed option for younger anglers, beginners and families. Fly-water permits are available for shorter or full-day catch-and-release sessions, while the bait pond has its own ticket. Day tickets can normally be purchased on arrival, although the fishery recommends calling ahead during busy weekends. Current rules require barbless or de-barbed hooks and single flies, with all fishing operated on a catch-and-release basis. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The fishery is open throughout the year from 8am until dusk, subject to current conditions and notices. Facilities include free on-site parking, toilets, equipment hire and The Tickled Trout cafe, which serves drinks, breakfasts and light refreshments. Dogs are welcome when kept on leads. The adjoining touring park offers a small number of hardstanding pitches, including electric-hook-up options, making Loch Insch suitable for anglers planning an overnight stop as well as a straightforward day session.
