About Harlaw Reservoir
Harlaw Reservoir lies in the Pentland Hills near Currie and Balerno, beside the Harlaw House Visitor Centre. The Pentland Hills Regional Park says Malleny Angling holds the bank fishing rights and stocks the water with rainbow trout. Fishing is from the bank by fly only; boat fishing is not permitted. The park places the reservoir approximately 100 metres from the car park and publishes a fishing season of 1 April to 31 October. Confirm current permit availability, dates, access and rules with Malleny Angling before travelling; the presence of a fishery does not mean unrestricted public fishing.
