About Esthwaite Water
The lake supports fly fishing for trout, seasonal pike fishing and year-round coarse fishing for species including specimen perch, roach and bream. Bank permits and self-drive boats can be booked, and guided fishing packages are available for visitors who need tackle and local knowledge. Pike fishing runs from 1 October to 31 March, while ordinary fishing tickets are generally valid from dawn until dusk and overnight stays require prior arrangement.
