About Cleabarrow Tarn

Windermere, Ambleside and District Angling Association manages Cleabarrow as a mixed coarse fishery. The stock includes carp, tench, bream, roach, rudd, crucian carp, perch and eels. Following otter damage, the association installed an otter-proof fence, controlled weed, cleared islands and snags, renewed pegs and walkways, and restocked the water. Parking is in the roadside lay-by above the tarn, with access continuing down through the field gates.
