About Drayton Reservoir
Drayton Reservoir on the northern edge of Daventry is a Canal and River Trust commercial fishery best known for prolific carp fishing and regular personal-best catches. Roach and perch are also plentiful, while pike fishing is permitted from 1 October to 31 March and the recorded venue best is 28lb. The fishery operates around the clock. Day anglers can enter from 7:30am Monday to Friday and 7am at weekends, with the closing time confirmed by the bailiff on the day. Day tickets are normally issued on the bank, although numbers on the dam wall are limited. Night sessions run from midday until 11am and must be booked in advance by text to the fishery number. Current permits cover two rods, with adult, concession, evening and overnight options. Anglers need the appropriate Environment Agency rod licence, and concession tickets require a concessionary licence. Contact the fishery before travelling for current availability, closing times, night bookings and any temporary rules or swim restrictions.
