About Ballysaggart Lough
The approximately 42-acre lough forms part of the local Blackwater drainage system and is also valued as a wildlife site. Coarse fishing has traditionally taken place around the water, with deeper areas near the northern sluice often cited as the principal angling area. The venue does not appear on the current DAERA Public Angling Estate in the same way as nearby permit fisheries. Anglers should therefore confirm current public access, parking and permission arrangements with Mid Ulster District Council before visiting.
