About Poole Hall Fisheries
Poole Hall Fisheries at Dodds Green near Alveley is a members-only specimen and coarse fishing complex in the Shropshire countryside. Five waters provide different styles of fishing. Abbey Lake is the principal catfish water, while Kingfisher is aimed at carp anglers. Heron contains carp and catfish; the historic Moat and smaller Cuckoo Lake provide mixed fishing for carp, roach, bream and tench, including easier pleasure fishing. Current venue information describes carp into the upper twenties and catfish above 40lb, although stocks and weights should be confirmed directly. The fishery's official page describes Poole Hall as a leading catfish and carp venue and makes clear that access is for members rather than ordinary walk-on day tickets. Prospective anglers should contact the venue before travelling to ask about membership, session booking, which lakes are available and the rules for each water. Use the official Facebook page for closure notices, catch updates and current contact arrangements.
