About Markle Fisheries
The Markle, Monastery and Kin lochs have historically provided a mixture of fly and bait fishing in the East Lothian countryside. The Kin Loch has been associated with carp, tench and rudd as well as trout, while the other waters have mainly served trout anglers. Online sources currently disagree over whether the fishery is fully open, temporarily closed or no longer operating. The telephone numbers and Facebook page should therefore be checked before relying on published hours, ticket availability or facilities.
