Lower Pen-y-Clawdd Farm Fishery near Raglan provides year-round day-ticket coarse fishing across three pools in 96 acres of Monmouthshire countryside. Stephen's Pool is a secluded water of just under one acre with 12 places for anglers aged over 16, holding carp and tench. John's Pool is around two-thirds of an acre, accommodates about 12 anglers and is the most accessible water, stocked with carp, tench, bream, roach and barbel. Wagtail is the match pool, with two islands, 40 pegs and the same mixed coarse species. Fishing normally runs from 7am to 8pm in summer and 8am to 4pm in winter. Parking is provided close to every pool and a toilet is available. Matches take place only on Wagtail, leaving the other two pools open. Parties are limited to three people and group bookings are not accepted. Check current match notices and rules before travelling.
