About Hillend Loch
Hillend Loch is a 345-acre reservoir east of Caldercruix in North Lanarkshire, managed for fishing by Airdrie and District Angling Club. The loch is stocked through the trout season with rainbow, brown and blue trout and also supports pike fishing during the club's published pike season. Fishing is available from the bank or by boat, with permits issued through the club and day tickets advertised during the trout season. The clubhouse offers toilets when open, refreshments on a best-efforts basis, essential tackle and bait, and rod hire. Check the official club website before travelling for the current season dates, permit availability, membership options, clubhouse opening and fishery rules.
