About Dacre Lakeside Park
Dacre Lakeside Park at Brandesburton near Driffield is a family holiday venue centred on a well-stocked six-acre lake. Fishing is available only to guests staying in the park's lodges and shepherd's huts, rather than ordinary day visitors or guests using the camping pitches and pods. The operator warns that the lake is susceptible to weed growth and cannot predict when this will affect fishing, so guests should enquire before booking a fishing break. Reception can confirm current access, any tackle or licence requirements and the fishing rules in force during the stay. The lake is also used for activities including kayaking, paddleboarding, pedaloes, sailing and windsurfing. Elsewhere on the park are a clubhouse, bar, pizzeria, gelato kiosk, adventure golf, foot golf, tennis, padel and pickleball. Accommodation ranges from timber lodges and shepherd's huts to camping pods and pitches, but the fishing entitlement is specifically limited to lodge and shepherd's-hut residents. Check weed conditions and fishing availability directly before travelling.
