About Alderneuk Fishery
Alderneuk Fishery near Terregles, west of Dumfries, is a family-run three-acre spring-fed stillwater for trout fly fishing. The loch is stocked with rainbow, brown, blue and tiger trout and is operated as a day-ticket venue. Available venue information lists adult and junior ticket options based on four or eight hours and different take limits, with rod hire also offered, but anglers should confirm current prices and arrangements directly because these can change. The setting is rural, with bank fishing and parking, and the fishery has traditionally offered tea and coffee to visitors. Booking is advised, especially before a longer journey. Contact the fishery before travelling to confirm that it is open, the latest stock and catch conditions, permitted flies and methods, fish limits and whether tackle hire is available. The official Facebook page is the most useful source for recent notices and contact details; call 07901 602020 if a timely response is needed.
