About Woodland Lakes Fishery
Woodland Lakes Fishery at Carlton Miniott near Thirsk covers 45 acres and has 11 managed lakes for pleasure, match, carp and specimen anglers. The waters hold mirror and common carp, tench, bream, roach, rudd, perch, barbel and golden orfe. Day-ticket fishing normally runs from 7am until 9pm or dusk, with up to two rods, while dedicated specimen waters offer individually bookable overnight swims. Night anglers must book online and sign in at the tackle shop on arrival. Anglers aged 13 and over need an Environment Agency rod licence and under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. Specimen rules include barbless hooks, a two-rod limit and the required fish-care equipment. On-site facilities include a tackle shop, a breakfast cafe, the Watermill Bar and Grill, a sports bar, hot food to take back to the peg and parking.
