About Summerhayes Fisheries

Summerhayes is set in 24 acres of Somerset countryside and has five stocked waters: Sellick's Pond, Long's Match Lake, Little 8, Big 8 and Denny's Pond. The fishery holds carp, tench, perch, bream, roach, rudd, barbel and chub. Big 8 is a 3.5-acre specimen lake and the venue identifies a 36lb mirror carp named Moley as its largest fish. Denny's is aimed particularly at beginners, while Long's and Sellick's are used regularly for match fishing. Facilities include hot and cold food and drinks, toilets and wheelchair access, with many swims designed to be accessible.

Summerhayes Fisheries venue rules

All anglers must hold a valid rod licence and only barbless hooks may be used. Summerhayes requires site keepnets, prohibits fish over 5lb from being retained in them and limits retention to six hours. Rods must not be left unattended, peanuts and tiger nuts are banned, and fishing is from platforms or designated areas only. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Night fishing is limited to a maximum of ten people and alcohol is prohibited during night sessions. Dogs must be kept on a lead and the site has a 10mph vehicle limit.
