About Shearsby Valley Lakes

The four lakes cater for different styles of coarse and match fishing. Sunset has 13 pegs and is now a silverfish-focused water with bream, roach, ide, chub, perch, tench, crucian carp and barbel. Willow has 18 pegs and is stocked heavily with small carp, F1s, crucians and goldfish. Hurricane and Tornado are matching 18-peg competition waters and can be booked individually or together for club matches. Day tickets are sold on arrival through the tackle shop on a first-come, first-served basis, and the venue also runs open matches and club bookings.

Shearsby Valley Lakes venue rules

All visitors must report to the tackle shop on arrival. Fish must be landed with a net and placed on an unhooking mat when removed from the water; keepnets are not allowed for pleasure fishing. Barbless hooks are compulsory with a maximum size 10, all braid including braided hook lengths is prohibited, surface fishing and floating baits are banned and anglers are limited to two rods. Under-18s must remain supervised by an adult or guardian.
