About Frisby Lakes Fishery

The fishery changed to a syndicate and members-only model from 1 April 2024. Its current site states that day tickets remain available through GoCatch during October to March. The 48-acre gravel pit supports carp, pike, bream, zander, tench, perch, roach and rudd, with more than 50 well-spaced swims around the water. Facilities listed by the fishery include showers, toilets, ample parking and some pegs that can be reached by car. Peg reservations and the seasonal day-ticket bookings are handled through GoCatch.

Frisby Lakes Fishery venue rules

Carp fishing requires barbed or micro-barbed hooks, at least 15lb main line, a landing net of at least 42 inches and a large padded unhooking mat. Fixed lead rings are prohibited and lead rings must pass freely over leader knots. Predator rules are separate: spinning is permitted throughout the year, while dead bait is restricted to October through April. Predator anglers must use a rubberised landing net.
