About Pheasants Wood Fishery

Woodcock Lake is the specimen water, with 11 purpose-built pegs and carp listed by the fishery to 32lb, while the two-acre Match Lake accommodates up to 20 anglers and holds carp, bream, roach, perch and other silver fish. Woodcock is pre-booking only and offers 12-hour midweek day sessions as well as longer bookings through the fishery's online system. The Match Lake is available to recreational and match anglers. The redeveloped lodge provides a cafe and bar, end tackle and bait, with showers and toilets also available for anglers.

Pheasants Wood Fishery venue rules

Fishery-wide rules prohibit fixed leads, braided main line and keepnets outside approved competitions, and require an unhooking mat. Woodcock has additional specimen rules: normally two rods are allowed, rising to three from 1 September to 31 March; micro-barbed hooks are required with a maximum size 4, main line must be at least 0.35mm and a carp-care kit is essential. Bait boats are allowed with consideration for other anglers, while tents are prohibited.
