Nine Oaks Fisheries at Oakford near New Quay is a six-lake angling and holiday complex with three trout waters and three coarse waters. The trout lakes are stocked with rainbow, blue, brown and tiger trout from about 1.5lb to 10.5lb; fishing is fly only with barbless hooks, with both catch-and-release and catch-and-take tickets available. The Main, House and Novices coarse lakes hold carp into the mid-20lb range plus roach, bream, tench, grass carp, chub and barbel. Coarse fishing is strictly catch and release. The venue opens all year from dawn to dusk, with night fishing also available. Anglers need a current rod licence and under-16s must be supervised. Facilities include accessible paths and lakes, a tackle shop, equipment hire, toilets, a central car park, refreshments and self-catering accommodation.
