Langdale Lakes at Langworth near Lincoln is an adults-only holiday and fishing venue with two former gravel pits. The 1.6-acre Lily Lake has mirror and common carp above 31lb alongside tench, bream, roach, perch and other coarse fish. The 1.4-acre Willow Lake is more densely stocked with carp to around 20lb, tench, bream, crucians, roach and perch. Day fishing is seasonal from April until mid-November, with advance peg booking required; night fishing is available only by arrangement. Both lakes are strictly catch and release. Rules require barbless hooks, dry nets and fish-care equipment, with all wet equipment dipped before use. Keepnets, pole fishing, surface fishing, nuts, bread and floating baits are prohibited. Anglers also need a large padded mat or cradle, a suitable landing net and carp-care kit. Bait and a few essentials are sold at reception. The wider site offers bed and breakfast rooms, caravan, motorhome and tent pitches, heated showers and toilets, electric hook-ups and parking. All visitors and anglers must be at least 18.
