About Kinross Trout Fishery
Kinross Trout Fishery is located at Heatheryford Country Estate close to junction 6 of the M90 and opposite Kinross Service Station. The established venue has four fishing waters: three intended for fly fishing and one for bait fishing. Its stocked trout fishing includes rainbow, blue and brown trout, with the venue also advertising catch-and-release spinning and float-tube opportunities under the relevant tickets and rules. Opening is generally from 8am until dusk, but visitors should confirm the current timetable and book the appropriate method before travelling. Barbless or de-barbed flies are required on fly-fishing tickets. The fishery offers casting instruction and guided sessions, while rods and other fishing equipment can be hired for anglers who do not have their own kit. Facilities include two parking areas, a small tackle and refreshment shop, covered seating and toilets. The venue publishes a detailed accessibility guide and can arrange vehicle access closer to reception or the waters for visitors with limited mobility. All four waters have some restricted-mobility or wheelchair access, although the country-estate ground can become soft or uneven in poor weather. Contacting staff in advance is recommended where particular access assistance is required.
