About Hawkhurst Fish Farm

Hawkhurst Fish Farm is the wider fishery complex rather than the Main Lake alone. Its current site lists Main Lake, Dove Lake, Four Trees Lake, Quarry Lake, Match Lake, Junior Lakes and a separate members-only Specimen Lake. The waters cater for a mixture of specimen carp and catfish fishing, pleasure angling, matches and junior fishing, while selected lakes also offer overnight sessions. On-site facilities include the Waterside Cafe, tackle facilities, toilets and parking. The Main Lake has its own separate Fishing Lakes UK page because it is a distinct water within this larger complex.

Hawkhurst Fish Farm venue rules

General Hawkhurst rules apply across the complex unless a lake-specific rule states otherwise. The fishery requires barbless hooks and normally limits anglers to two rods; leadcore, fixed leads, nuts, plastic baits and zig rigs are prohibited. Braided main line is prohibited except where specifically allowed on Four Trees Lake. Live or dead baiting for catfish or pike, lures and treble hooks are also prohibited. Individual waters publish additional tackle, fish-care and age requirements, so anglers should follow the rules for the lake they have booked.
