About Farmoor Fishery
Farmoor Fishery near Oxford is a year-round Thames Water reservoir venue with bank and boat fishing. The two reservoirs provide different trout options: Farmoor 1 operates catch and release, while Farmoor 2 also offers permits allowing anglers to take fish home. Stocks include rainbow, brown and blue trout, with the fishery also known for large pike and perch. Day and season tickets are available, but angling sessions and boats should be booked in advance by calling the ranger; payment for day tickets is made on arrival, and an Environment Agency rod licence is required. Fishing normally runs during daylight hours, with Christmas and Boxing Day closures. Facilities include a main car park, cafe, accessible toilets, electric mobility scooters and a wheelchair-friendly Wheelyboat. Use Gate 3 for parking and check the official page for current conditions, tickets and rules.
