About Aldin Grange Lakes

Swallow and Skylark are the two fly-only trout waters, stocked with rainbow, brown and blue trout. Blackbird, Woodpecker and Kingfisher are the coarse lakes, holding several strains of carp alongside tench, perch, roach, rudd, bream, chub, orfe, ide and barbel. The lakes have maintained access and firm marked pegs intended to help disabled and elderly anglers. Facilities include parking, toilets, a fishing lodge, cafe, farm shop and on-site bait and tackle sales.

Aldin Grange Lakes venue rules

Barbless hooks are required on both coarse and fly waters. Coarse anglers must use Aldin Grange feed pellets, dip their nets and observe the seasonal rod limit; floating baits, boilies, bloodworm, joker and wading are prohibited. Fly fishing is limited to two flies with no boobies. Dogs are not allowed, under-12s require adult supervision and all anglers need a valid Environment Agency rod licence.
