About Walker's Dam

Walker's Dam is a Wakefield Angling Club water with an island, 37 fishing platforms and secure parking. The club lists roach, bream, perch, tench, chub and carp, and uses the water for club matches throughout the year. The lake reopened in September 2025 after Fisheries Health Inspectorate clearance following a KHV outbreak. Current club rules require members to use the provided dip tank. A club key is needed for the car park and fishing access, and night fishing is not permitted. Check current notices before travelling.
