About Swan Pool Sandwell Valley
Swan Pool is a council-managed angling water within Sandwell Valley Country Park in the West Midlands. Sandwell Council includes Swan Pool on its current list of parks and nature reserves where angling is permitted. Everyone fishing must hold an up-to-date Environment Agency rod licence and comply with the council's separate fishing requirements and best-practice guidance. As the pool forms part of a busy public country park used for walking, wildlife watching and other recreation, anglers should use only authorised fishing positions and take particular care around other visitors, paths and wildlife. Inclusion on the council list does not remove the need to confirm any local day-ticket, season ticket or permit arrangements that apply in addition to the national rod licence. The council manages several different Sandwell fishing waters, so anglers should make sure that any ticket obtained covers Swan Pool specifically and should not assume access to nearby conservation waters. Before travelling, consult the latest Sandwell Council fishing page for current charges, permitted methods, seasonal restrictions and site rules.
