About Napton Reservoir
Napton is not a public day-ticket fishery. The association states that fishing runs from 6am until sunset, with the day's closing time shown on the notice board. Members pay the reservoir's daily charge and may bring one fishing guest when an advance guest ticket has been purchased, although guest access does not extend to night fishing. The reservoir has a long-standing reputation for tench and also holds crucian carp, bream, roach and specimen carp. A swim map is published to show casting limits and reduce conflicts between anglers.
