About More House Farm Fishery

Canal is a 20-peg match lake containing carp, tench and silver fish, while the 50-peg Sidewinder holds roach, rudd, bream, perch, barbel, chub, F1s and other carp. Kingfisher is a spring-fed specimen lake holding common, mirror and ghost carp together with catfish. Oaks has five pegs and carp reported between 15lb and 33lb; Dogwood has 11 island-facing pegs, carp between about 8lb and 32lb and a small tench stock. The fishery supplies landing nets on all five lakes and provides additional fish-care equipment on the specimen waters.

More House Farm Fishery venue rules

Kingfisher, Oaks and Dogwood require annual membership and advance booking, while Canal and Sidewinder may normally be fished on a coarse day ticket. Barbless hooks are required. Anglers must use the fishery's landing nets, mats and weigh slings rather than bringing their own lakeside. Main-line braid, bait boats, live or dead fish baits, bread, floating baits and surface fishing are prohibited. The fishery opens all year, with day fishing ending by 7pm or dusk in winter.
