About Lodge Lake

The lake was formed by damming Loughton Brook to help control downstream flood risk. Today it combines public park use with established coarse fishing and dedicated fishing pegs. The Parks Trust highlights carp catches including a mirror carp of 22lb 8oz. A hard-surfaced path runs around the whole lake, with free parking, benches and picnic tables nearby. There are no public toilets directly at Lodge Lake, although customer toilets are available at the nearby Badminton England Centre cafe.

Lodge Lake venue rules

A valid Environment Agency rod licence is required. Lodge Lake closes to angling from 15 March through 15 June inclusive. The Parks Trust's Lodge Lake page states that MKAA members fish without an additional charge in the open season and that non-members may buy a day ticket from the roving bailiff. Its separate general fishing page says anglers must be MKAA members. Because those current pages differ, anglers should confirm the applicable access arrangement with MKAA before fishing.
