About Falkenvil Fishery

Falkenvil Fishery is a long-established day-ticket coarse fishery on Saltmarsh Lane near Hailsham in East Sussex, also known locally as the Mushroom Farm. The current complex has four named waters covering prolific mixed fishing, match angling and specimen carp and catfish fishing. The Main Lake is around four acres with approximately 50 swims, a small island, reed margins and overhanging cover. It holds a broad stock of carp, tench, barbel, chub, bream, perch and roach, with carp reported above 20lb. The two-acre Specimen Lake is the principal big-fish water and has just five swims, making advance booking important. Published fishery information lists common carp to around 30lb, mirror and grass carp into the upper twenties and catfish approaching 50lb. The Racetrack Lake is another two-acre water built around a long central island and offers mixed coarse and match fishing for carp, barbel, bream, chub and roach. Z Lake is also around two acres and provides further mixed fishing with carp, chub, bream and roach among the main species. Standard day tickets are currently published at £10 for up to two rods, with gates opening at 6am; anglers can normally choose a swim on the Main, Racetrack or Z Lake and pay the bailiff on the bank, while the Specimen Lake should be booked in advance with Keith. The fishery has parking and toilets, and many swims can be reached by vehicle when ground conditions allow, which helps anglers needing easier access. Falkenvil is particularly useful for anglers searching for day-ticket carp fishing near Hailsham, catfish fishing in East Sussex or a busy mixed coarse venue within easy reach of Eastbourne. Prices, access arrangements and fishery rules can change, so contact the venue before travelling if you need to confirm a specimen booking or specific requirements.
