About Digger Lakes

Snails Lake covers five acres and has 16 swims, with only 12 released for booking so anglers have room to move. Its channels, islands, bays, gravel, silt and lily pads create varied carp fishing, and the fishery reports around 140 carp with numerous fish above 20lb and several over 30lb. Perseys Pool was dug in 2011, covers about 3.8 acres and has 10 swims with eight bookable places. It also holds around 140 carp, including fish into the mid-30lb range. Toilets, showers, changing facilities and drinking water are provided on site.

Digger Lakes venue rules

All fishing is pre-booked through the fishery website and a booking reserves a place on the lake rather than a particular swim. The published rules require barbed or micro-barbed hooks, at least 12lb monofilament main line, a minimum 42-inch landing net, a large unhooking mat, water bucket and fish-care product. Keepnets, sacks, fixed leads, bait boats, nuts, braided main line and unattended rods are prohibited. Rod limits depend on the ticket purchased.
