About Cudmore Fisheries

Cudmore lies on the Whitmore Estate near Junction 15 of the M6. Its mixed waters are stocked with bream, crucian carp, common and mirror carp, F1s, tench, barbel, roach, rudd, perch, chub and ide, while three specimen waters hold carp above 30lb and catfish above 80lb. The venue currently states that all day-fishing lakes are closed throughout 2026. Its booking system continues to advertise pre-booked night sessions on specimen waters, including Tara and Avoca.

Cudmore Fisheries venue rules

Do not arrive without a confirmed booking. All anglers must report to reception and disinfect their landing net before fishing. Barbless hooks, suitable unhooking equipment and prompt fish return are required; nuts, homemade bait and non-biodegradable imitation baits are prohibited. Night waters have a two-rod limit, minimum 15lb line and require a 42-inch landing net. Visitors and spectators are not allowed, and the current 2026 closure applies to all general day-fishing lakes.
