About Cob House Country Park Fishery
Cob House Fishery at Wichenford near Worcester has four main match pools: 30-peg Wyatts, 28-peg Chestnut, 22-peg Laurel and 18-peg Oak. A separate stretch of Victorian pools is used for pleasure fishing. The waters are stocked with carp, bream, tench and other silverfish, and the fishery holds weekly open matches on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Standard public opening is Wednesday through Sunday from 8am to 4pm; Monday and Tuesday are reserved for pre-booked matches. Pleasure tickets can be purchased on arrival from the Cob Shop or cafe, while an additional rod is only permitted on the Victorian pools. Match clubs should book in advance, and anglers should check the fishing calendar or Facebook page for pool availability. The wider country park provides a cafe, shop, parking and family facilities.
