About Butterley Reservoir
The Derbyshire reservoir is divided by the railway causeway and effectively provides two distinct fishing areas. Stocks include carp, bream, tench, perch, roach and pike, with several carp reported above 30lb. Many pegs have hard-standing areas suitable for larger amounts of tackle or bivvies, and much of the site is reached by stone or hard-surfaced paths. Facilities include a lockable anglers' car park, toilets, an on-site cafe and a regular bailiff team.
