About Lee Valley Fisheries - Bowyers Water
The lake contains shallow gravel bars, deeper silty areas, summer weed beds, lily pads and several islands that provide natural fish-holding features. Lee Valley Fisheries estimates a stock of around 120 to 150 common and mirror carp, with an average size in the low-30lb range and the largest fish exceeding 50lb. Paths reach most of the formal swims, and the fishery car park is accessed from Windmill Lane.
