About Golden Pond Fishery

The former canal section is stocked with carp, crucian carp, green and golden tench, roach, rudd and perch, with fishing focused on traditional margin and waggler tactics rather than heavy big-carp methods. Access is through annual membership rather than public day tickets. Fishing is permitted from dawn until dusk throughout the year, with no night fishing, and members must use designated swims, barbless hooks, landing nets and unhooking mats. Keepnets, fires, radios and dogs are not allowed.
